THIS POST IS INTENDED FOR THOSE WHO HAVE FILED THEIR 2019 AND 2020 U.S. TAX RETURN

Several people have received this letter from the IRS. If you are one of them, please read this carefully:

  1. If you have received ALL of the Stimulus Payments you are entitled to (for yourself/spouse/dependents), either by mail or via Direct Deposit, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING.

  1. If you are still waiting to receive all or part of the Stimulus Payments that you are entitled to, AND AT LEAST 4 MONTHS have passed since you filed, you need to call the number listed on the letter: 001-800-829-0922 and ask the IRS representative why you still have not received it. Make sure that you have the 2019 and 2020 tax returns in front of you when you call.

  1. If you have recently sent any documents to the IRS after they sent you a letter, YOU NEED TO WAIT AT LEAST 3 MONTHS from the date you mailed those documents before you call the number above, in case you still have not received ALL of the Stimulus Payments you are entitled to.

  1. In case you have missing Stimulus Payments for you or any of your dependents, and the IRS has not sent you any letters asking for more information, you can go ahead and call the IRS if you filed your tax return at least 4 months ago.
