For those doubting Thomases who thought the Stimulus Check (officially known as the Economic Impact Payment – EIP) was fake news, I am pleased to report that finally, the first one has arrived in Malta.

If you have filed your 2019 U.S. taxes, please rest assured that yours is on the way, obviously if you meet all the eligibility criteria. But please keep in mind that currently there are huge delays in mail delivery due to the airports being closed. So it might take a while for the check to arrive.

Those who are receiving a U.S. Social Security retirement/disability pension should soon be receiving the EIP directly in the bank account where they receive their pension, and therefore they do not need to do anything to receive it.

The second wave of Stimulus Checks has not been approved yet. When and if it gets approved, I’ll post it here immediately.
